Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking an IT Support Technician to install, repair, and maintain desktop hardware and peripherals across multiple facilities. This role requires hands-on experience with Windows and Mac environments, plus familiarity with Citrix and remote access tools.

Expect to cover nights, weekends and holidays as needed. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of desktop support experience in an Active Directory setting or prior Yale New Haven Health System exposure, plus CompTIA A+

Qualifications

• High school graduate with CompTia A+ certification preferred (must be obtained within 6 months of hire).
• One to three years experience supporting Intel-based desktops and peripherals in a Microsoft Active Directory environment, or six months at Yale New Haven Health System in a desktop support role.
• Hands-on experience with Apple/Mac and PC laptops; familiarity with Citrix and remote access tools; strong knowledge of Windows 7+ and Office 2016+.

Responsibilities

• Deploys new PCs in accordance with YNHHS policies and procedures.
• Troubleshoots reported problems methodically and efficiently.
• Inspects equipment and wiring for pre-failure indicators.
• Demonstrates professionalism and respect in all customer interactions.
