Job summary

Specialty Appliances LLC is seeking an Desktop Support Engineer I to deliver hands-on and remote technical support for Windows, macOS, and Linux endpoints across multiple labs. You will assist with Active Directory, Entra ID, and cloud services, while building depth in networking, identity, and device management.

This is an entry-level role with mentorship, primarily on-site at the Cumming, GA lab, with occasional remote work and minimal travel.

Qualifications

Windows 10/11 desktop and laptop support, reprovisioning, drivers, printers.
Foundational Active Directory and Entra ID administration; MFA awareness.
Support for Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint; licensing basics.
Networking basics: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, Wi‑Fi, VPN; basic diagnostic tools.
Basic macOS and Linux troubleshooting; user accounts and network settings.
Cloud fundamentals: AWS and Azure for triage of cloud-hosted apps.
Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site and remote end-user support at multiple labs.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows, macOS, and Linux workstations and peripherals.
Prepare, deploy, and retire devices following standard build procedures.
Support CAD and production workstations; coordinate with vendors as needed.
Apply software updates and manage asset inventory.
Be available for after-hours support during maintenance windows.
