Job summary

Varex Imaging Corporation is seeking a skilled desktop support professional in Salt Lake City to handle day-to-day hardware, software, and printer support, plus remote access and enterprise applications. You will troubleshoot Windows 10/11, M365, authentication, network issues, and endpoint performance while assisting with user accounts and access control.

The role covers imaging, provisioning, patching, backup enrollment, VDI support, software deployment, and knowledge-base updates.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in desktop support or a related IT role.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day desktop support for hardware, software, peripherals, printers, remote access, and enterprise applications.
• Troubleshoot Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, authentication, network connectivity, endpoint performance, and business applications.
• Assist with user accounts, device, and access-related support using approved tools and procedures.
• Support walk-up, remote, and general desktop support activities.
• Perform endpoint imaging, provisioning, deployment, repair coordination, and device recovery tasks.
• Support endpoint backup solutions through enrollment, setup, and validation.
• Support VDI environments including provisioning and basic troubleshooting.
• Assist software installations and updates via desk-side support or tools.
• Participate in monthly OS and app patching and remediation tracking.
• Identify recurring endpoint issues and improve system reliability.
• Act as Tier 2 escalation for endpoint issues.
• Escalate complex issues to senior technicians.
• Create and update knowledge base articles and documentation.
• Maintain accurate ticket documentation and communicate with end users.
• Assist with device refreshes, software rollouts, and site support.
