ManpowerGroup Global, Inc. is recruiting a Desktop Support specialist for a healthcare organization in Fremont, CA. You will join the IT Support Department, providing 1st level helpdesk support and incident logging.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of helpdesk experience, strong customer service, and proficiency with Windows OS. This contract role offers training and potential extension based on performance.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field; relevant work experience may substitute.
• Minimum 2 years of Helpdesk support experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Proficiency with Windows OS and common office software.
• Experience supporting hardware (printers, desktops, laptops) and software.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st level support for all IS issues and requests.
• Log IS issues in the ticket system and communicate with customers.
• Document tickets thoroughly and prioritize per guidelines.
• Escalate and assign tickets to 2nd level teams when needed.
• Proactively identify solutions to reduce escalations.

Our client, a healthcare organization, is seeking a Desktop Support professional to join their team. As a Desktop Support specialist, you will be part of the IT Support Department supporting the Help Desk team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent customer service, problem-solving skills, and technical proficiency, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Desktop Support

Location: Fremont, CA

Pay Range:$29.00 to $33.00 per hour

What's the Job?

• Provide 1st level support for all Information Systems (IS) issues and requests
• Ensure all IS-related issues are properly logged in the ticket system and communicated to customers
• Document tickets thoroughly and prioritize according to guidelines
• Escalate and assign tickets to appropriate 2nd level support teams or individuals
• Proactively identify solutions to common issues to prevent escalation

What's Needed?

• Associates or Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field; relevant work experience may substitute
• Minimum of 2 years experience providing Helpdesk support, preferably in a healthcare environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating systems and products (e.g., XP, Windows 7, Office, SharePoint)
• Experience supporting hardware (printers, desktops, laptops) and software (Adobe, Symantec anti-virus)
• Strong customer service, documentation, and follow-up skills
