Job summary

City of Mesa is seeking an IT Engineer II to provide skilled technical services in installation, configuration, testing, integration, and ongoing support for city applications and infrastructure. Responsibilities include supervising small teams, guiding projects via PMO methods, and maintaining documentation to support enterprise environments and city strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3–5 years of computer systems experience in at least one of: Applications, Database, Desktop, GIS, Network, Security, Server, or Web Support.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled technical services for installation, configuration, testing, integration, and ongoing support for City applications or infrastructure.
• Lead and mentor staff; exercise independent judgment and diagnostics.
• Coordinate and manage desktop, service desk, and related IT activities.
• Develop and update system documentation; ensure changes align with long‑term IT strategies.
• Perform project leadership for small to medium projects using PMO methodologies.
