Job summary

Mesa Police Department is seeking an IT Engineer II for Police Network Infrastructure to ensure performance, availability and security across network platforms serving public safety operations. The role focuses on network protocols, routing, switching, firewalls, and related security technologies for CAD and other critical systems.

The ideal candidate will have CCNP (or equivalent), 3–5 years of experience in technical support, and the ability to lead small to medium projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 3–5 years of computer systems experience in at least one technical support area
• CCNP certification or equivalent experience
• Ability to lead small to medium projects

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain network environments for high availability and security.
• Support CAD and public safety systems across Police/Fire networks.
• Lead or participate in medium-scale IT projects using PMO standards.
• Document changes and develop QA processes to improve change success.
