Job summary

City of Mesa is seeking an IT Manager for the Mesa Police Department to lead strategic IT initiatives and service improvements. The role focuses on developing service strategies, guiding investments, and managing SLAs to ensure reliable city-wide technology services.

The ideal candidate will have extensive IT leadership experience, strong networking/infrastructure skills, and the ability to mentor staff while coordinating with vendors and business partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management, Public Administration, Project Management, or related field.
• 5+ years IT management or project leadership experience.
• 3–5 years supervising large-scale systems or services.

Responsibilities

• Develop the service strategy for one or more IT services and guide investment.
• Manage SLAs and cost drivers; communicate impact to stakeholders.
• Lead governance meetings, reviews, and long-term IT planning across departments.
• Coordinate vendor relationships and lifecycle strategies with DoIT to support the Police Department.
