Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Level 2 Deskside Technician to join our IT Support Services team in Boston. You will provide advanced end-user support, troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues, and assist with IT projects.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of IT support experience, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and a customer-focused approach to ensure reliable, secure technology for staff.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Information Technology, CS, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of IT support or deskside experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills on Windows and macOS.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide second-level technical support for complex hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Diagnose and resolve issues; perform root-cause analysis and preventive measures.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and related equipment.
• Advise users on best practices and security protocols.
• Create and maintain IT documentation and knowledge base articles.
