Job summary

Cognizant in Seattle is seeking a Deskside Engineer Lead to deliver technical and operational support to traders and front-office users, ensuring high availability of trading applications, market data platforms, and trading floor infrastructure.

You will coordinate with application, network, and vendor teams, perform software installations and hardware deployments, and contribute to a robust ITSM process that supports a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years in Trader Support or Financial Services IT Support.
• Experience supporting trading floor infrastructure.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and operational support to traders and front-office users ensuring high availability of trading applications, market data platforms, and trading floor infrastructure.
• Support trading and market data platforms such as Bloomberg Terminal, Refinitiv/Eikon, Reuters, Fidessa, and OMS/EMS applications.
• Troubleshoot issues related to trading applications, market data feeds, desktops, laptops, and multi-monitor workstations.
• Provide onsite and remote support to traders in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Manage incidents and service requests through ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools, ensuring SLA compliance.
• Coordinate with application, network, infrastructure, and vendor teams for issue resolution.
• Perform software installations, upgrades, user access management, and hardware deployments.
• Maintain documentation and follow ITIL-based support processes.

Job Summary

Responsibilities

Provide technical and operational support to traders and front-office users ensuring high availability of trading applications market data platforms and trading floor infrastructure.

Support trading and market data platforms such as Bloomberg Terminal Refinitiv/Eikon Reuters Fidessa and OMS/EMS applications.

Troubleshoot issues related to trading applications market data feeds desktops laptops and multi-monitor workstations.

Provide onsite and remote support to traders in a fast-paced high-pressure environment.

Manage incidents and service requests through ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools ensuring SLA compliance.

Knowledge of Active Directory Citrix Microsoft 365 and basic networking (TCP/IP DNS).

Familiarity with ITSM tools (ServiceNow Remedy etc.).

Strong communication stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.

4-8 years in Trader Support Front Office Support or Financial Services IT Support.

Experience supporting Investment Banking Capital Markets Asset Management or Brokerage environments.

The Salary for this position will be yearly 79000 TO 90,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
