Job summary

Rosendin in Minnesota is seeking a Designer II to create marked drawings, model development, and layouts for power, lighting, and related drawings. The position includes calculations and documentation to meet lighting and power system requirements, with moderate supervision.

The role requires energy code calculations, adherence to Rosendin standards, and coordination with subcontractors across trades. A strong candidate has some college or technical training and at least two years of designer

Qualifications

• Some college or technical training in engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Designer.
• Can be a combination of educations, training, and relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Assemble a complete symbols list and project notes.
• Mark up branch circuit lighting and power plans and fill panel schedules.
• Perform Energy Code calculations and local jurisdiction requirements.
• Apply Rosendin standards for wire sizing and feeders.
• Calculate power loads and distribution system demand loads.
• Direct and coordinate low voltage subcontractors with other trades.
• Create installation details for construction.
• Provide the design lead function for small jobs.
• Review manufacturer submittals for electrical characteristics.
• Layout Electrical Room with required clearances.
