Job summary

Rosendin is seeking a Designer II in Coppell, TX to create marked drawings, model development, and layouts for power, lighting, and auxiliary drawings. You will perform calculations and document designs for lighting and electrical systems, under supervision from experienced engineers.

This mid-level role requires basic college or technical training and at least two years of designer experience, with opportunities for growth in a shareholder-owned electrical contractor environment.

Qualifications

• Some college or technical training in engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Designer.
• Can be a combination of educations, training, and relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Assemble a complete symbols list and common project notes from the REI Standard relevant to the project.
• Mark up branch circuit lighting and power plans and fill in panel board schedules with moderate supervision.
• Perform Energy Code calculations, documentation and local jurisdiction energy requirements with little supervision.
• Apply Rosendin standards for wire sizing, transformer feeders, and protection from published schedules.
• Calculate power loads, size feeders, and determine the demand load summary under Sr. Designer or Engineer direction.
• Direct and coordinate signal and low voltage subcontractors with other trades.
• Create details to define installation for construction.
• Provide design lead function for small jobs.
• Review manufacturer submittals for electrical characteristics.
• Layout Electrical Room with clearances and minimal oversight.
