Job summary

Beaufort-Jasper Water and Sewer Authority seeks a Design Team Manager to oversee design and development of BJWSA projects in coordination with the Engineering Department. The role ensures CAD standards, construction details, technical specifications, and permits are in place for timely, cost-effective delivery.

The position reports to the Engineering Leadership Team, with responsibilities spanning project coordination, staff supervision, and technical support across departments to maintain

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years in engineering and project management.
• Extensive knowledge of civil/site design, hydraulics for water and wastewater systems.
• Prefer a minimum of 3 years’ experience leading, training, and developing staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design deliverables for pump station, waterline and sewer system projects.
• Coordinate project schedules with partners and BJWSA personnel to ensure timely delivery.
• Supervise staff through performance management and staffing decisions.
• Prepare easement exhibits, legal descriptions, and easement agreements as assigned.
• Provide technical assistance to Real Estate Team and other departments.
