Waymo is seeking a Design Studio Process Manager to own the optimization of facility layouts and workflows across depots, service centers, and fleet infrastructure. The role demands transforming business needs into standardized, efficient solutions in a fast-paced setting with ambiguity.

You will collaborate with Architecture, Engineering, Product, Operations, Robotics, and Ops Excellence teams to validate concepts, apply Lean principles, and drive scalable, future-ready operations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of industrial engineering, operations excellence, or related disciplines in automotive throughput.
• Experience applying Lean principles, process improvement, and operational modeling to facility design.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams during facility planning and design.
• Experience solving complex challenges through data analysis and structured problem-solving.
• Experience using AI tools to enhance workflows in project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Analyze end-to-end operational workflows to identify bottlenecks in depots and service centers.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Engineering, Product, Operations, Robotics, and Ops Excellence teams on infrastructure concepts.
• Apply Lean and industrial engineering methods to optimize facility layout and workflow.
• Evaluate concepts through simulations, pilots, and real-world testing for continuous improvement.
• Develop analyses and metrics to guide infrastructure planning and design decisions.
