Job summary
Waymo in Mountain View, CA is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to lead efficiency improvements across depots, service centers, and fleet infrastructure, reporting to Head of Project Delivery. You will analyze workflows, partner with Architecture, Engineering, Product, Operations, Robotics, and Ops Excellence teams to design scalable, future-ready facilities.
The role demands 10+ years of engineering experience, Lean expertise, and a track record of applying data analytics and AI tools
Qualifications
- 10+ years in industrial/operations engineering or related fields.
- Experience applying Lean and operational modeling to facility design.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams during planning and improvements.
- Experience using data analysis to drive decisions.
Responsibilities
- Analyze end-to-end operational workflows to identify bottlenecks and capacity constraints.
- Partner with Architecture, Engineering, Product, Operations, Robotics, and Ops Excellence teams to develop and validate infrastructure concepts.
- Improve physical infrastructure design standards using Lean and industrial engineering methods.
- Evaluate concepts through simulations, pilots, and real-world testing.
- Develop performance metrics and scalability recommendations to support facility programming.
