Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a Design Supervisor to lead the design team, drive sales, and ensure an exceptional customer experience through design services. You will hire, train, and coach a talented group of designers while partnering with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation.

The role requires design education or equivalent experience, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Design education (BA or AA in Interior Design) or 6 years interior design experience in lieu of formal education.
• 6 years interior design experience or combination of education and experience equal to 6 years.
• 3-5 years of leadership or management experience.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring preferred.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite.
• Internal candidates must have 12 months of experience in a Sr. designer position, ADM role, or higher.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain lasting relationships with residential and professional customers.
• Hire and develop a dynamic design team and conduct performance evaluations.
• Greet customers and support store design walk-ins.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through networking and referrals.
• Provide tile, wood, stone, and accessories advice for residential and commercial projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple projects with accuracy, timeliness, and clear communication.
