Job summary

Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. in Chicago seeks a Design Supervisor to lead the design team, train staff, and drive sales through design services.

You will mentor designers, schedule appointments, and advise on tile, wood, stone, and accessories for both residential and commercial projects, ensuring excellent customer experiences.

The role requires a design degree or equivalent experience, leadership skills, and proficiency with design tools and Microsoft Office; some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Design education or 6 years interior design experience in lieu of education.
• 3–5 years of leadership/management experience.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring preferred.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office.
• Internal candidates must have 12 months of Sr. designer/ADM role or higher.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with residential and professional customers.
• Hire and develop a dynamic design team with evaluations.
• Greet store customers and support design walk-in needs.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through referrals and leads.
• Advise on tile, wood, stone and accessories for projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional, aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple projects with high accuracy and timely follow-up.
• Use company tools and emails consistently.
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation.
