Job summary

Design Within Reach at MillerKnoll seeks an Assistant Manager to lead in the General Manager's absence, balance client work with leadership initiatives, and coach sales. You’ll train staff, support store goals, and build strong client relationships while educating customers on our iconic product stories.

You will report to the General Manager and collaborate on merchandising, events, and training to drive growth and brand standards across the store.

Qualifications

• Retail management experience preferred.
• Ability to build relationships with direct reports, peers, and clients.
• Proficiency with MS Office software, web navigation, and 3-D rendering programs.
• Able to move objects weighing more than 20 pounds and follow safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Grow the business weekly by using company programs to meet/exceed sales goals.
• Assist in maintaining store design and visual standards per merchandising guidelines.
• Create client floor plans and design presentations.
• Travel for in-home consultations and visits to local trade professionals.
• Attend store meetings and product training to boost product knowledge and industry awareness.
• Directly manage all Sales Assistants and Studio Interns.
