Job summary

Triton Stone Group is seeking a Design Assistant who will work closely with Senior Design Consultants to source products and solutions for client design goals. The ideal candidate is motivated, highly organized, and maintains a positive attitude.

Primary duties include supporting design consultations, recording selections, creating virtual look books, managing samples, keeping client records up-to-date, and assisting with showroom organization and reception duties.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of reception/general office experience.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented.
• Highly effective interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (including Word and Excel).
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Polished image.
• Must pass work eligibility requirements.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be highly courteous, professional, detail-oriented, and resourceful.
• Assist Design Consultants with clients/designers/builders/fabricators; record and notate selections during meetings; participate in the project selection process; create virtual look books for clients; request samples; aid in follow-up emails and calls; scan or input documents.
• Buffer and/or stand-in for designated Design Consultant meetings when DC is absent.
• Actively update client opportunities/holds in the system based on meetings or discussions.
• Call vendors to check stock and manage order status; record and send tracking information; notify customers when tile orders are ready for pickup.
• Participate in internal Design Consultant meetings and PKs.
• Take photos of material requests; prep samples/orders for client pick-ups and inventory; organize showroom.
• Answer the office phone and assist on calls when DC is unavailable; cover reception desk for lunches.
