Job summary

General Motors LLC is seeking an experienced engineer to lead the design and integration of advanced energy conversion components. You will drive program milestones, mentor teammates, and collaborate across mechanical, thermal, structural, and electrical analysis teams to ensure design integrity and manufacturability.

You will read and create engineering drawings and specifications, use CAD/CAE tools, and manage complex projects with strong communication and writing skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 5+ years of engineering experience.
• Strong analytical ability for complex problems and data-driven decisions.
• Proficient communication, writing, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design and integration of Fluid Storage and Ventilation components.
• Utilize Engineering tools and processes to develop components and systems.
• Achieve program milestones with rigorous program management.
• Operate with a high level of independent judgement.
• Mentor / Coach team members.
• Conduct technical design reviews and initiate drawing reviews.
• Review DFMEAs and DRBFMs for parts/design changes.
• Demonstrate designs meet requirements by analysis, development, and validation.
• Execute Peer Reviews per program milestones.
• Collaborate with suppliers to meet quality, cost and timing objectives.
• Support mechanical, thermal/structural, and electrical analysis with the team.
• Work with manufacturing to ensure build ability and resolve requirements.
• Provide Program Management and deliverables for meetings.
