Job summary

Portland General Electric is seeking a Design Project Manager for Joint Use Construction to lead transmission and distribution projects from design through customer connections. You will ensure cost-effective, safe, and compliant solutions across multiple projects.

You will prepare estimates, inspect poles for NESC compliance, run PLA analyses, and issue design/work orders while collaborating with licensees to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering technology, CAD or related field or equivalent experience.
• Typically one or more years in utility operations or a related field.
• Requires a valid driver's license and a history of safe driving practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete cost estimates for licensees using current estimating resources.
• Inspect PGE poles and ensure NESC compliance for PGE and Licensees.
• Verify NESC clearances for new attachments.
• Run Pole Loading Analysis (PLA) on field poles.
• Create non-design and design work orders to modify poles as needed.
• Collaborate with communication companies to resolve issues.
