Job summary

Portland General Electric is seeking a Design Project Manager for Joint Use Construction to lead transmission and distribution projects from first contact to final closing. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering technology, CAD or related field.
Typically one or more years in utility operations or a related field.
Must have a valid driver’s license and a history of safe driving practices.

Responsibilities

Manage multiple projects and prepare cost estimates for licensees using current estimating resources.
Inspect PGE poles and ensure compliance with NESC and pole clearances.
Run Pole Loading Analysis (PLA) on poles in the field to meet standards.
Create design and non-design work orders to modify poles to pass PLA/NESC/PGE standards.
Collaborate with communication companies to develop innovative resolutions that satisfy both parties' needs.
