Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Design Project Manager in Columbus to oversee the design process from campus planning to construction drawings. You will build matrixed design teams and ensure alignment between client, design partners, and contractors.

The ideal candidate has 5-8 years in design project management, licensure is preferred, and travel across the Columbus area may be required. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience.
• Licensure (PE, NCARB, RA) preferred.
• Prior data center design/construction experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year design project management experience required.
• 3+ years design/construction project management preferred.
• Strong understanding of design principles and practices.
• Independent work with good teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage design processes from planning to construction drawings.
• Coordinate internal and external design teams.
• Draft scopes of work and secure stakeholder buy-in.
• Issue and track contracts and deliverables.
• Monitor cost, schedule, and design scope with dashboards.
• Support design change management and QA in BIM environment.
• Facilitate critical design decisions aligned with project needs.
• Coordinate design activities with procurement and construction.
