Job summary

Everlaw is seeking a Design Program Manager to establish the operating system for our growing design team, bringing structure and predictability to AI-powered litigation tools. You will absorb operational friction so designers can focus on craft and solving complex user workflows.

This full-time, exempt role is based in Oakland, CA with a hybrid schedule: in-office M/W/Th and optional remote Tu/Fr. You will own the design operating model, readiness criteria, cross-functional interfaces, and

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Design Program Management or Design Operations
• Experience supporting product design teams in complex enterprise environments
• Strong communication and storytelling to translate design progress into business narratives
• Experience building lightweight design operations frameworks and resource tracking
• Familiarity with Jira or emerging AI design tools
• Authorized to work in the United States without restrictions (no visa sponsorship)

Responsibilities

• Own the design operating model for planning and delivery, define estimation and sequencing, and maintain a visible dependency system
• Define design readiness criteria and coordinate pre-launch quality reviews for craft, accessibility, and edge cases
• Own interfaces between Design, Product Management, Engineering, User Research, and Technical Writing for scope, dependencies, and decision rights
• Build and champion lightweight design operations rhythms, frameworks, and templates (briefs, critique structures)
• Manage design resourcing and bandwidth tracking for staffing decisions and capacity planning
• Own how design work is represented to the business with a reporting layer for leadership planning
