Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Design Manager 2 in Dallas, TX to lead engineering and design project management for industrial manufacturing facilities. You will coordinate with architectural, electrical, mechanical, process/chemical, and structural disciplines to deliver design packages from concept through startup.

The role emphasizes proactive design process management, collaboration with preconstruction and operations teams, and ensuring alignment with project budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or related field (Required)
• 8+ years design and/or construction management experience (Preferred)
• Cross-functional knowledge of architectural, structural, MEP and related trades

Responsibilities

• Interprets formal design-build RFPs and develops work plans with stakeholders.
• Manages outside design consultants to meet technical and schedule requirements.
• Leads design review process with clients to ensure schedules and quality.
• Develops project budgets and work schedules as monitoring tools.
• Collaborates with design partners and management to define project scope and staff allocation.
