Job summary

JE Dunn Construction in Dallas, TX seeks a Senior Design Manager for industrial manufacturing projects. You will lead the design team, coordinate with trade partners, manage scope, schedule and budget from preconstruction through startup, and ensure compliance with codes and client requirements.

This role requires extensive experience in design management, strong leadership, and ability to deliver complex design solutions across multiple disciplines including HVAC, structural, and process

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or related field is required.
• 10+ years design and/or construction management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interprets formal design build RFPs and develops work plans, collaborating with preconstruction, operations, and other key stakeholders.
• Reviews and understands bridging documents for project compliance with RFP including comprehension of Codes and Criteria to meet the technical requirements and design deliverables.
• Manages outside design consultants, assuring they meet the technical requirements as well as schedule requirements for design deliverables.
• Leads and coordinates meetings and establishes all design document flow and document control with client, construction management, trade partners, regulatory agencies, and others involved.
• Develops comprehensive project budgets and work schedules as key monitoring tools for tracking progress.
