Job summary

SEH is seeking a Sr. Transportation/Highway Engineer to join our transportation team in Minnesota. You will plan, coordinate, and lead multiple highway design projects for a variety of clients, maintaining strong client relationships from planning through post-completion.

The role requires PE licensure in Minnesota, strong communication abilities, and a track record in highway design and MN DOT projects. Collaboration with staff and continuing professional development are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Minnesota.
• Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, and site visits.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with highway design and MN DOT project construction.
• Design experience in Microstation/GeoPak/ORD (Open Roads Designer).

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, coordinate, and direct multiple projects for diverse clients.
• Maintain relationships with clients throughout project lifecycle and post-completion.
• Mentor staff and foster a positive project team environment.
• Ensure QA/QC procedures and regulatory requirements are followed.
• Represent SEH at project and public meetings; prepare scopes and fees.
• Lead proposal development and client interviews; assemble project teams.
