Job summary

Ultra Clean Technology in Carrollton, TX is seeking a Manager, Design Engineering to lead the design engineering team focused on production tooling and equipment for semiconductor processing.

The role emphasizes safety, manufacturability, cost control, and reliability; you will develop specifications, drawings, and layouts, mentor staff, and coordinate with Process Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Safety to deliver high‑quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of engineering experience in manufacturing, semiconductor, or process equipment environments.
• Experience leading engineers, technicians, or cross-functional teams is strongly preferred.
• Experience with equipment design, fixture design, tooling development, production workstations, and process equipment upgrades is preferred.
• Knowledge of semiconductor processing, surface treatment, wet process equipment, or related areas is preferred.
• Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methods are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design engineering team, prioritizing work and ensuring on-time completion.
• Oversee tooling, fixtures, and production equipment design for safety and manufacturability.
• Develop and maintain equipment specifications, drawings, layouts, and documentation.
• Coordinate with Process Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Safety to support production needs.
• Review drawings and design changes, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Provide training materials, mentoring, and performance feedback to staff.
