Job summary

Polaris Inc. is seeking an experienced engineering leader to drive design engineering across vehicle systems and components from concept through production. You will set standards, processes, and tools, while guiding cross‑functional teams to meet performance, cost, and schedule targets.

You will mentor leaders, foster a culture of technical excellence, and contribute to long‑term strategy and workforce development to sustain innovation in powersports products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 10+ years of progressive engineering or product development experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams and complex technical programs.
• Strong understanding of product development from concept through production.
• Experience making technical decisions balancing performance, cost, quality, timing, and manufacturability.
• Strong cross‑functional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and technical leadership for design engineering teams and capabilities.
• Lead development and execution of vehicle systems, structures, and components from concept through production.
• Establish engineering standards, processes, tools, and best practices to improve design quality.
• Ensure solutions meet performance, quality, cost, timing, manufacturability, and customer requirements.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to resolve technical issues and deliver programs.
• Drive continuous improvement, design reuse, and use of digital engineering tools.
• Identify and address technical, resource, and capability risks.
• Build and retain a strong engineering organization and develop leaders.
• Establish accountability and foster a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and execution.
• Support long‑term engineering strategy and workforce planning.
