Job summary

Emerson is seeking a student engineer for a co-op role in Marshalltown, IA. You will assist engineering teams to develop design tools and refine best practices, and help evaluate new product designs and valve constructions for critical service applications.

You will troubleshoot performance issues via engineering analyses to identify root causes, and support technical quotations for global sales. The role emphasizes teamwork, problem solving, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Engineering is required or in progress.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher is preferred.
• Sophomore or higher class standing is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist Engineering teams to develop & refine design tools and best practices.
• Assist with evaluation of new product designs, modifications to existing product, and design of valve constructions for critical service applications
• Troubleshoot valve performance issues while completing engineering analyses to provide root-ccause solutions
• Provide engineering support to Global Sales Offices by assisting with technical quotation details for new valve offerings
• Assist with daily execution of product orders involving design modifications, application reviews, and customer interaction
• Collaborate with other functional groups to improve operational efficiency
