Job summary

Emerson in Marshalltown, IA is seeking an undergraduate intern/co-op to join the Product Engineering team. The role supports the existing product line, evaluates new designs, and helps design valve constructions for critical service applications.

You will troubleshoot performance issues, assist with technical quotations, and help execute orders while developing digital tools for design and validation in a collaborative, mentorship-driven program.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Engineering or closely related field.
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours) per week in-person at location (Marshalltown, IA).
• Enrollment in Mechanical Engineering and GPA 3.0+ preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Product Engineering team with technical support for existing product line
• Assist with the evaluation of the new product designs, modifications to existing product, and design of valve constructions for critical service applications
• Troubleshoot valve performance or manufacturing issues while completing engineering analyses to provide root-cause solutions
• Provide engineering support to the Global Sales Offices by assisting with technical quotation details for new valve offerings
• Assist with daily execution of products orders involving design modifications, application reviews, and customer interaction
• Develop and streamline digital tools used for design and validation of new and existing products.
