Job summary

SharkNinja in Needham, MA is seeking a Spring 2027 Design & Engineering Co-op to join our Advanced Development team. This full-time, onsite role runs January through June, 40 hours per week, with compensation described as hourly pay between $28 and $34 USD.

You’ll work on hands-on prototyping and cross-functional collaboration to shape next-generation Shark and Ninja products. You’ll design and test early-stage prototypes, build test fixtures, and contribute to manufacturability and cost

Qualifications

• Current student in a related bachelor’s or master’s program or has graduated within the past year.
• Must be able to work a full-time, 40-hour-per-week schedule onsite in Needham, MA.
• Exposure to motor control, sensor integration, embedded microcontrollers, battery management, signal amplification, and switching power supplies.
• Proficiency in C/C++ for microcontroller applications is a plus.
• Experience with prototyping tools and quick-turn physical models is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of innovative concepts and technologies that define the next generation of Shark and Ninja products.
• Support the design and evaluation of early-stage prototypes using ECAD tools, simulation software, and breadboard circuits.
• Assist in building test fixtures and executing verification and validation test plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine designs for manufacturability, cost optimization, and user experience.
• Apply creativity and engineering rigor to solve real-world problems and elevate product quality.
• Participate in design reviews and technical discussions that influence product direction and development.
• Identify opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction, reduce production costs, and maintain our competitive edge.
• Take part in fast-paced development cycles where your input and technical contributions are valued from day one.
• Gain exposure to SharkNinja’s innovation process—from idea generation and prototyping to technical validation and iteration.
