Job summary

Prediction Lab is a remote-first startup building a predictive modeling platform. We seek a Design Engineer to own how the product looks and feels, from the design system through the shipped interface, partnering with users and the founder to deliver outstanding value.

You'll lead UI design, drive design innovation for complex modeling, own branding and the marketing site, and shape the product's future in a fast-paced environment. Join a lean, autonomous team and influence every pixel.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and building customer-facing interfaces at a software company with a high engineering bar.
• Strong frontend skills, with deep command of Typescript, React, and CSS.
• Track record of owning a design system that other engineers built on.
• An eye for motion, typography, and the details most people never notice.
• Cares deeply about craft, and about knowing when something is done.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment.
• High level of autonomy and ownership.
• Thrives in a remote, asynchronous environment with a lean, high-output team.
• Domain knowledge in predictive modeling and data science.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship the interface our users live in, owning it from first sketch to production.
• Lead design innovation, with a focus on how complex modeling work should look and feel.
• Own the design system, our brand, and the marketing site, so everything we put out feels like one product.
• Shape the product and its future, to lead the new era of predictive modeling.
• Elevate the team, by bringing your own ideas and expertise to the table.
• Partner with the founder, to build a product that our users love.
