Job summary

Prediction Lab is a remote-first startup building a cutting-edge predictive modeling platform. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you'll own the modeling engine from research to production, delivering real value to users and shaping the product's future.

You'll work closely with the founder, push for high-quality models, and own end-to-end aspects from data to deployment. We value autonomy, ownership, and a thoughtful, rigorous approach to production ML.

About the role

We're seeking a Machine Learning Engineer who is passionate about building a product that our users love. You'll work closely with the founder and users to design and implement new concepts and ideas.

You'll own the modeling engine, from research to production, and be responsible for delivering the best value to our users. Your decisions will shape the product and its future.

What we're looking for

• Experience taking machine learning models to production at a software company with a high engineering bar
• Strong programming skills, with experience across research code and production systems
• Track record of moving model quality on real problems, not just benchmarks
• Experience with the full modeling lifecycle, from data and features through training, evaluation, and monitoring
• Cares deeply about rigorous evaluation and knowing when a model is genuinely better
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment
• High level of autonomy and ownership
• Thrives in a remote, asynchronous environment with a lean, high-output team
• Domain knowledge in predictive modeling and data science
