Job summary

Lippert Components, Inc. is seeking a Design Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on R&D across plant departments, including furniture and marine.

You will generate 2D/3D drawings using MasterCam, Top Solid, Lectra, and SolidWorks, develop seating designs, and provide cost estimates with BOMs. The role requires organizational excellence and the ability to manage multiple projects with cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and/or related associate degree in engineering or related discipline; or four years of related experience/practice in drafting, design, and engineering.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and apply common sense to carry out instructions.

Responsibilities

• Create R&D for all plant departments (furniture, marine).
• Produce 2D/3D drawings using MasterCam, Top Solid, Lectra, and SolidWorks.
• Prepare specifications including foam, vinyl, wood, and plastic materials.
• Develop cost estimates and bill of materials (BOM).
• Plan nesting for production and develop seating structures and programs.
• Present arrangements in graphic form or detailed models.
• Coordinate workload to meet objectives and manage multiple projects.
• Deliver design data to production sites and clients as needed.
• Ensure compliance with design standards for quality, safety, and constructability.
• Review calculations, design models, drawings for accuracy and finish.
