Job summary

Superior Industries is seeking a Design Engineer to coordinate product design and development for equipment used in processing bulk material. You will design and detail conveying equipment, perform design analyses, and manage bills of material. This role requires strong drafting standards knowledge and SolidWorks experience.

The position emphasizes engineering rigor, timely design executions, and the ability to implement design changes while aligning with company values and customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Must have degree in mechanical/agriculture engineering or related field.
• SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD experience required.
• Strong grasp of drafting standards and structural analysis.

Job Description

A Design Engineer is responsible for completing the following duties:

• Coordinate product design and development for equipment used in processing bulk material and aggregates
• Design and detail custom conveying equipment
• Perform design analysis for components
• Complete bills of material
• Evaluate and implement design changes
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, AgriculturalEngineering or related education
• Thorough understanding of:
  • Drafting standards, dimensioning, and tolerances
  • Mechanical power relationships such as horse power, torque, speed, ratios
  • Shaft, bearing, and power transmission design and analysis
  • Strengths of materials and structural analysis
  • ASD steel design code
• Training and/or experience in using SolidWorksor similar 3D CAD software
