Job summary

Superior Industries is seeking a Design Engineer I to join our mechanical design team. You will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems for crushing equipment from concept to production.

The role involves coordinating product design, creating drawings and BOMs, performing design analysis, testing prototypes, and evaluating design changes within a collaborative environment and supportive training program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related education.
• Ability to meet deadlines and deliver functional, manufacturable designs that meet customer expectations.
• Willingness to help out where needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate product design and development for crushing equipment used in processing bulk material and aggregates.
• Design and detail custom crushing equipment.
• Perform design analysis for components.
• Perform testing and prototyping of new products.
• Create drawings and bills of material that are accurate and contain all information required by production.
• Evaluate and implement design changes.
• Other duties as assigned

Job Description

As a Design Engineer I at Superior Industries, you'll play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems and components for our projects. From concept to manufacturing, you will have the opportunity to contribute to all stages of the engineering process.

• Coordinate product design and development for crushing equipment used in processing bulk material and aggregates
• Design and detail custom crushing equipment
• Perform design analysis for components
