Job summary

Vercel is seeking a Design Engineer for AI Gateway to own product design and frontend implementation across surfaces. You will collaborate with customers, a Product Manager, and engineers to understand problems, explore solutions, and ship the production experience.

You will work with the Product Design team and a dedicated engineering group, owning the AI Gateway area and pursuing design-led improvements across Vercel. Remote-friendly with in-office anchor days for some locations.

Qualifications

Must build production-quality web apps using modern frontend stacks.
Experience shipping designs across dashboards, websites, CLIs, and APIs.
Ability to translate user needs into design decisions and measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

Own product design and frontend implementation for critical parts of the journey from discovery to first successful request.
Design and build production experiences across website, dashboard, CLI, and APIs.
Make models, credentials, routing, budgets, logs, performance, privacy, and governance understandable and reusable.
Talk directly with customers and use data to define success and tradeoffs.
Own quality after launch, including visuals, accessibility, performance, and instrumentation.
Use coding agents to explore ideas quickly and ship responsibly.
