Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking an entry-level Design Engineer or Field Engineer to join our team in Houston, TX. The role focuses on engineering design and analysis within project scope, including circuit layouts and cost control.

You will use NavisWorks, Smart Plant, AutoCAD, TRACERLYNX and PROMAN to optimize our processes and support a paperless workflow. Ideal candidates hold an Engineering degree (Electrical or Mechanical) or a related technology diploma, with 0–2 years of relevant experience,

Qualifications

Engineering degree or technology diploma in Electrical/Mechanical disciplines preferred.
0–2 years experience as Design/Field Engineer in commercial heating applications is a plus.
Strong time management skills required.
Experience with AutoCAD, MS Suite and SAP is an asset.
French language fluency is an asset.

Responsibilities

Provide engineering design and analysis within project scope including circuit loading and layouts.
Use tools like NavisWorks, Smart Plant, AutoCAD and TRACERLYNX/PROMAN to optimize design.
Support paperless workflow processes and manage client expectations on scope, schedule and cost.
Identify solutions to issues impacting cost, schedule, quality, safety, or interfaces.
Contribute to team culture and execute tasks with standard processes.
