Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3-10+ years of experience in machine design, automation, or industrial equipment.
• Proficient with CAD software (SolidWorks, NX) and PLM/PDM systems.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design, GD&T, materials and fabrication processes.
• Experience designing custom production equipment or automation systems.
• Familiarity with robotics integration, industrial safety standards, and machine guarding.

Responsibilities

• Design custom mechanical systems and automated production equipment, including workstations, material handling, and process systems.
• Develop 3D CAD models, assemblies, and detailed fabrication drawings.
• Define system architectures and perform tolerance stack-ups, GD&T, and mechanical analysis.
• Select and integrate components such as motors, linear motion systems, and pneumatic/hydraulic hardware.
• Collaborate with controls, process, and manufacturing teams to ensure design integration.
• Support machine build, debugging, and commissioning with hands-on troubleshooting and design iteration.
• Maintain BOMs, technical documentation, and drive continuous improvement for performance, cost, and reliability.
