Job summary

Convey is seeking a Design Engineer to own problems from statement to outcome, defining, designing, building, testing, and shipping experiences for AI teammates. You will prototype directly in code and work closely with engineering and customers across design and implementation.

You will design core agent interaction patterns, shape channel behavior across tools like Slack, email, and live video calls, and influence Convey’s brand and product direction through close collaboration with product

Qualifications

• Deep design ownership: 2+ years as primary or sole designer on a complex product.
• Agentic product experience: Designing for AI agents or conversational interfaces, distilling complexity.
• Technical fluency: Understanding of LLMs, agent harnesses, tool-calling to collaborate with engineers.
• Zero-to-one systems thinking: Create new interaction patterns from scratch.
• Builder’s mentality: Proficient with AI-native tooling to prototype quickly.
• Design-engineering range: Move between strategy, visuals, and front-end implementation.
• Outcome ownership: From brief to shipped customer outcome with minimal direction.
• Enterprise AI judgment: Balance clarity and delight with trust, permissions and auditability.
