Job summary

Convey is seeking a Design Engineer in a remote role with periodic travel to San Francisco to own problems end-to-end from statement to outcome. You will prototype in code, collaborate across design and engineering, and help the AI teammates train, manage, and trust the system.

• Deep design ownership with a track record of shipped outcomes.
• Experience designing for AI agents or conversational interfaces.
• Fluent understanding of LLMs, agent harnesses, and tool-calling.
• Ability to create new interaction patterns from scratch.
• Comfort with AI-native tooling to prototype concepts.
• Ability to bridge product strategy, design, and frontend work.
• Proven outcome ownership from brief to customer value.

Responsibilities

• Own core agent interaction patterns and design the main in-app interface.
• Shape channel behavior across Slack, email, and live video tools.
• Influence branding and extend visual identity beyond the product.
• Collaborate with engineering to align user experience with agent architecture.
• Prototype rapidly and iterate with engineering teams.
• Deliver production-quality workflows from concept to release.
• Define teammate personalization for enterprise-ready experiences.
• Turn customer feedback into product direction and roadmap.
