Job summary

AT&T Global Public Sector is seeking a Design Engineer (Access) to support WAN/LAN networks, providing design, upgrades, and config support to the architecture team. The role requires office presence in Chantilly, VA, TS/SCI with polygraph clearance, and Juniper certification or training.

Responsibilities include documenting designs, performing lab evaluations, and ensuring security and compliance with DISA STIGs. The position offers comprehensive benefits and a competitive salary range.

Qualifications

• Must be compliant with DoD 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2.
• Juniper certification or training: JNCIA, JNCIP, and JNCIE.
• Experience in developing and implementing methodologies for analysis, testing, and support of CAN/LAN and WAN networks.
• Familiar with firewalls and network timing.
• Experience with network equipment rollout and engineering documentation.
• Experience with MPLS networks and MPLS VPN services.
• Knowledge of routing and switching protocols with ability to document thoroughly.

Responsibilities

• Design and improve overall MPLS network architecture and services.
• Maintain technical documentation and configurations.
• Develop secure network designs aligned with DISA STIGs and enterprise policies.
• Obtain Authority to Operate (ATO) for new devices and capabilities.
• Evaluate new network technologies and services.
• Provide technical expertise to Operations engineers for fault isolation.
