Sandis is currently looking for a Design Engineer to join our team in Oakland, CA. Our ideal candidate has experience with civil design, permitting, and applicable software applications including stormwater drainage programs and AutoCAD. Cool Stuff you get to do:

• Assist with developing improvement plans including rough/finish grading, stormwater management, and utility plans
• Design utility systems including water, sanitary, and storm drain
• Assist with fire flow tests
• Interact with other design team members including Architects, Landscape Architects, and MEP Engineers
• Provide engineering support during construction, including review of material submittals, RFIs, and site observations
• Conduct engineering assessments
• Prepare technical engineering reports
• Coordinate with private, public, and governmental agencies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• 2+ years of relevant experience
• EIT Certification
• Familiarity with AutoCAD
• Understanding of rough and finish grading plans
• Knowledge of utility systems including sanitary sewer, storm drainage, and water distribution
