Role Overview

We’re seeking a DAS Design Engineer I with 4+ years’ experience in Public Safety and Cellular DAS design and Level 2 iBwave certification. This role will focus on the design, planning, and implementation of in-building wireless systems (PS & Cellular DAS/BDA), ensuring optimal coverage for enterprise and public safety environments.

Top Responsibilities

• Design BDA and DAS systems using iBwave Design software
• Conduct site surveys and develop detailed system plans (equipment layout, cable routing, link budgets)
• Deliver PS (700/800 MHz, UHF/VHF) and Cellular (5G, Off-Air, Neutral Host) designs
• Support system optimization, provisioning, commissioning, and troubleshooting
• Ensure compliance with IFC/NFPA codes and wireless communications standards • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support design reviews with clients

Must-Have Qualifications

• Level 2 iBwave Certification (Required)
• 4+ years’ experience designing DAS/BDA systems for Public Safety and Cellular
• Experience with RF testing equipment (Spectrum Analyzer, OTDR, PIM testers)
• Understanding of fiber/coax installations and test results
• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or 6+ years of RF design experience

Preferred Experience

• In-building DAS design for P25, LMR, 700/800 MHz, UHF/VHF
• Familiarity with vendor platforms: SOLiD, JMA, ADRF, Avari, Comba, Nextivity
• Background in network systems, project management, and client engagement
• Technical writing and documentation for designs
• Software: iBwave, MS Office
• Work Environment: Remote (EST/CST preferred); occasional local site visits
• Reports To: Engineering Manager
• Team Size: Mid-sized engineering group focused on DAS/BDA system deployment
