Job summary

Brightpath Associates LLC is seeking a civil engineer to guide projects from concept through completion in Columbus, OH. You will develop site/civil plans, grading and drainage, and stormwater management while preparing construction drawings and coordinating with clients and municipalities.

The role emphasizes independent work, strong communication, and collaboration with multiple design disciplines to ensure regulatory compliance and successful permitting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required.
• EIT/EI certification required or eligible.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar civil design software.
• Understanding of grading, drainage and stormwater design.
• Experience preparing construction drawings/plans.
• Knowledge of land-development principles.
• Ability to work independently on projects.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Take projects through the start-to-finish design process.
• Develop site/civil plans and construction documents.
• Work on land development projects and site layouts, grading and drainage.
• Design stormwater management and site utilities/infrastructure.
• Prepare engineering drawings and plans; review and revise as needed.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, municipalities and other design disciplines.
• Ensure compliance with local/state design standards and regulations; support permitting and project approvals.
