Job summary

Polar Semiconductor, Inc. is seeking a Design Enablement Engineer Intern in Bloomington, MN, for a 12- to 13-week program. You will work under a mentor in design enablement, learning fundamentals of the semiconductor industry and contributing to daily internal and external customer deliveries.

The role emphasizes training in PDK activities, scripting/automation, and documentation, with exposure to quality, safety, and environmental initiatives. Strong communication and Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• Students pursuing a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Physics.
• Students in their Junior year or higher.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Tcl, C-shell, Perl (at least one).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Be trained in PDK related activities.
• Establish EDA/CAD environment scripting/automation.
• Create automation/scripting documents.
• Support company initiatives, such as quality, safety and environmental management.
• Other duties, as assigned.
