Job summary

Polar Semiconductor is seeking a highly motivated DE Intern to join the Design Enablement Department in Bloomington, MN. You will learn fundamentals of design enablement and contribute to daily deliveries for internal and external customers.

Your role includes training in PDK activities, setting up scripting environments for EDA/CAD, and creating automation documents. You’ll work with an assigned mentor to support quality and environmental initiatives while expanding your skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor or master’s degree in EE, CE, or Physics.
• Junior year or higher.
• Scripting languages: at least one (Python/Tcl/C-shell/Perl).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel/Word/PowerPoint.
• Strong verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Be trained in PDK related activities.
• Establish EDA/CAD environment scripting/automation.
• Create automation/scripting documents.
• Support company initiatives, such as quality, safety and environmental management.
• Other duties, as assigned.
