Job summary

Polar Semiconductor in Bloomington, MN offers a Technology Development Engineer Intern position for a 12-13 week, on-site program. You will report to the Lead Engineer in the Technology Development and Transfer group to support new development efforts.

This internship emphasizes device characterization, data analysis, and documentation, with opportunities to contribute to quality, safety and process improvements while learning advanced semiconductor techniques.

Qualifications

• Students working toward a Bachelor or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Characterize electrical parametric devices by hand probe.
• Perform and evaluate process splits.
• Measure and analyze inline wafer data (film thickness, critical dimensions, etc.).
• Create process characterization documents.
• Support quality, safety, environmental management, CQI, 5S, yield management and cost containment.
