Job summary

Job description

DHD Architecture and Interior Design is looking for a new team member to join our 10-person firm based in TriBeCa at 65 N Moore St.

Our current team consists of five architects, four interior designers, and one in-house, full-time expediter. For the past 30 years, our primary focus has been on high-end residential work in Manhattan, which makes up about 90% of our portfolio. We love collaborating with artisans and have built a strong track record of working alongside talented lighting designers, skilled metalworkers, and exceptional craftspeople.

Current Projects

We are currently managing a diverse and exciting range of residential projects, including:

• Four lofts on Wooster Street in SoHo
• Two lofts in Tribeca
• A spa building on Crosby Street
• Interior projects in the super tall building
• Several townhouses throughout the city
• Some smaller apartment projects
• A residence in Rancho Santa Fe, California
• A residence in Austin, Texas
• Pool pavilion in Sagaponack (we typically take on a couple of Hamptons projects each year)
• Future planning: One of our active goals is to expand our portfolio with more ground-up projects upstate.

Our Work Environment

We operate out of a beautiful second-floor loft building. While we encourage our team to work together in the office to foster collaboration, we are highly flexible and fully support working from home when it makes sense. It is a fast-paced, friendly, and healthy work environment.

What We Are Looking For

We need someone who is deeply experienced in the high-end residential market and capable of designing, drawing, and documenting at that demanding level.

• Skills & Tools: You should be proficient in a variety of drawing tools and programs. Please note that we do not produce high-resolution 3D renders in-house.Primary drawing software is Revit and AutoCAD
• Licensing: A professional architect license is not required for this role. Fortunately, our fantastic in-house expediter is involved in all projects to seamlessly navigate the NYC Department of Buildings and other regulatory agencies.

The Role

Because we are a small boutique firm, your daily responsibilities will span multiple disciplines. You can expect a dynamic mix of client meetings, concept design, technical drawing, and hands‑on site visits.

Compensation

This could be a full‑time position but we would also consider options / we are flexible. We cover 80% of healthcare (UHC) + summer holes and generous PTO/vacation.
