NiSource Inc. is seeking a Team Leader - Design and Drafting in Merrillville, IN to lead a group of designers and drafters.

The role requires coordinating resources for 2D/3D drafting, and using AutoCAD to model natural gas distribution systems and stations. You will collaborate with Engineering and other stakeholders on projects of varying scopes, ensuring templates and libraries are maintained for consistency.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of relevant design/drafting experience.
• Experience leading design projects from concept through completion.
• Ability to mentor and train junior designers and drafters.
• Knowledge of GIS and piping systems; familiarity with industry standards.

Aufgaben

• Lead and mentor direct reports and implement processes to achieve team goals.
• Provide direction, feedback, and coaching; monitor performance.
• Evaluate resources and adjust to support workflow.
• Maintain AutoCAD templates and libraries for consistency across Engineering.
• Review project plans and drafts to ensure accuracy; produce 3D models in AutoCAD.
• Maintain records of design changes and updates; support site surveys and GIS data integration.
• Collaborate with Field/Design Engineering and other stakeholders to meet strategic goals.
• Support emergency outage management and after-hours tasks as needed.
